Job Title:  Production MOP

 

Location: Maple Lake, MN

 

Type of Job: Full-time, trial to hire

 

Hours: 2nd Shift 3pm to 11pm, Monday – Friday. 3rd Shift 11pm to 7am, Sunday – Thursday.

 

Pay: $14 to $15 an hour depending on qualifications.

 

Transportation: This position is not located on the bus line. Applicant must have their own personal, reliable transportation.


Job Description: Atlas Staffing is partnering with a leading distributor of integrated magnesium resource for product development from concept to solution. Magnesium can make products lighter, stronger, electronically sound, and reduce vibration. They are ITAR registered and fully integrates engineering, prototype manufacturing, tooling construction, and volume production activities for a seamless product development experience. Incorporating advance lean manufacturing principles to create additional value for customers.

 

They are seeking Applicants for Production MOP for 2nd & 3rd shift. Production MOP are required to complete the process of the die casted part in the production of magnesium die cast parts ranging in weight from several ounces to over 6 pounds. This is completed by either operating a CNC Mills or Lathes, or Sanding of parts.

 

Position Requirements: Must be able read and understand written directions. The predominate form of instructions are visual and verbal. Operators must be capable of translating verbal orders in to actions. High school education or its equal may be waived at company discretion. This is a physically demanding position requiring moderately heavy lifting, dexterity and good mechanical skills. Must have the ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate machines to produce the required quantity of good quality parts to meet production standards.
  • Visual inspection of parts during production cycle of equipment.
  • Understand calipers and micrometers helpful but not necessary.
  • Operation of CNC mills and lathes helpful.
  • Reach and lift moderately heavy parts – up to several hundred repetitions per shift.
  • Stand and operate machinery continuously for entire shift.
  • Exposed to harsh operating environment this includes: heat of up to 100 degrees.
  • Operates equipment in a safe manner to protect self and others from injuries caused by extremely hot metal of up to 1250 degrees.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Perform other associated duties as needed to continue the operation of the department in the most productive and efficient manner.
