There are 3 different Lead positions available. Please see below for job descriptions and requirements for each one.

Vacuum Pumps Department
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting the Vacuum Pumps Department Supervisor with routine, on-going tasks by carrying out daily production work orders to ensure a continuous flow of production. Position will ensure a quality product is manufactured according to specifications; resolve on-the-spot issues, and provide team work direction under limited supervision.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
Excellent leadership, communication and reasoning skills required to provide work direction to employees.
• Provides input and recommendations to Department Supervisor regarding work performance of employees.
• Position does not have independent or final authority to hire, terminate, discipline, appraise performance, or submit adjustments to pay.
• Ability to manage time well, deal with multiple tasks and handle stressful situations.
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to delegate responsibilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
1-3 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience a plus and ability to develop a cohesive working team.
• Must be able to understand and operate machinery and maintain a clean and safe work area.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY USED:
Work stations require use of some equipment and/or machinery, i.e., Power Tools, Hand tools, Tightening Tool.
• All employees may work at different work stations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Lifting, Bending, Stretching, etc.)
• Ability to tolerate occasional loud noise
• Ability to use and be exposed to Locktite, alcohol, oil, WD40 and grease
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend and move about the facility and must be able to tolerate repetitive motion.
• Close and peripheral vision as well as depth perception is required
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Some work stations require the employee to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Hose Production Lead
POSITION SUMMARY:
The person in this position directs, plans and assigns work of 12 production employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment: recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. This is a working lead position meaning that in addition to the lead’s responsibilities, this person will be working along with the employee(s) in this department.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Assist the supervisor to direct the activities of the department.
• Under the direction of the Supervisor, leads production operations for department such as machining, processing and assembly.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill work orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
• Ensures effective employee relations.
• Assists the supervisor to track absenteeism and time tracking

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Requires at least 2 years of broad technical or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.
Some supervision experience a plus.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
• Planning: ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as ability to build cohesive teams.
• This position requires that the person be highly organized, self-motivated and can work independently.

EQUIPMENT AND CHEMICALS USED IN DEPARTMENT:
• Marking Cutting Machine for cutting hose.
• Hydraulic Crimpers, Air Regulated Crimpers; Hose Pushers for fittings, Hand Unreelers.
• Barbs Machine, Barb Binder.
• Loctite for fittings, Grease for maintenance on Crimpers

Manifolds Working Lead
POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform all tasks involved in the production of Manifolds Department products. This includes making handles, assembly of bars and pistons, assembly of gauges to bars and testing manifolds. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
This position is responsible for assisting Supervisor with routine, on-going tasks by carrying out daily production work orders for assigned department to ensure a continuous flow of production. Position will ensure a quality product is manufactured according to specifications; resolve on-the-spot issues, and provide team work direction under limited supervision.
Employees may work in other departments in production as needs require. Job descriptions for each department are available.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Employees may work at different work stations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process. Some, but not all, work stations require the following responsibilities and duties:
• Performs assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools
• Tighten fittings
• Operate laser machine to put date on bars
• Clean parts
• Operate screw machine to attach screws onto handles
• Consistently inspect each product and package to ensure that all products meet the company quality standards
• Test manifolds
• Place finished goods on the designated pallet
• Package different types of manifolds and/or 3-packs into boxes, plastic packaging or clam shells
• Operate electric winder to wind hoses before packaging
• Label packages and boxes for shipping
• Band boxes
• Print bar codes
• Complete required paperwork and documentation
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required
• All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides leadership, communication, and work direction for the employees in the department by delegating responsibilities, assigning tasks and participating in workload as needed.
• Communicates with Supervisor on any problems that occur in the department.
• Provides input and recommendations to supervisor regarding work performance of employees in assigned department.

• 1-3 years of experience in production manufacturing and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Good communication and reasoning skills to retrieve information from co-workers and relay information to and from all employee levels.

• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred and ability to develop a cohesive working team.
• Must be able to understand and operate machinery.
• Prior manufacturing experience desired.
• Ability to direct a work crew, delegate responsibilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety.

Some, but not all, work stations require the employee to use some of the following equipment and/or machinery:
• Drill
• Laser Machine
• Gauge Taping Machine
• Screw Machine
• Piston Machine
• Gauge Tightener
• Electric Winder
• Air guns
• Bailer
• Nitrogen

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT / WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Close and peripheral vision as well as depth perception is required for inspection
• Ability to tolerate occasional loud noise
• Ability to stand and / or sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to tolerate repetitive motion
• Some work stations require the ability to pull carts weighing over 200 pounds
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Some work stations require the employee to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
